We design and implement Web and Mobile apps. We provide visual design, functional design, technical architecture, and implementation assistance for new or existing projects. We build simple Web sites, complex applications and services, and more!

Our Team

Our team's experience covers everything from simple Web sites to multi-million-user Web services, including sites tailored for mobile browsers. We have experience designing and developing iPhone apps.

We have experience with internationalization, outsourcing and international teams, agile development, database design, business logic and object design including asynchronous server side code, presentation layer work, working at startup pace, following large company procedures, coaching and mentoring, and more!

We also particularly enjoy projects that present interesting design decisions and possibilities, or offer new and unique user interactions.

Evan Gridley

Evan's corporate experience began with an internship at Mitre Corp in northern Virginia, and includes 11 years at Microsoft in the Hotmail group. He developed both core infrastructure and UI code, earning two patents as the teams' services scaled up to 400 million users and beyond. Between those years he played a key role at Jump Networks, a successful Internet start-up, working in all layers of the product including integrating partner code. The startup was acquired by Microsoft.

As employee and entrepreneur, Evan sharpened a wide variety of skills for a broad array of internet and non-internet projects. He combines a keen sense of how the human mind works with what makes an interface usable, and applies that to all his assignments.

Evan brings a relaxed mastery to indispensable Web-friendly languages and toolsets. He also designs and develops iPhone and iPad applications. Education: MS Computer Science, Cornell University.

Tiffanie McCoy

A 7-year veteran of Microsoft's Silicon Valley campus and another key member of a successful Internet startup, Tiffanie has developed database applications, web services, and most recently iPhone and iPad applications. Tiffanie brings an extreme resourcefulness and pragmatism to Gridley Design assuring that the firm's creativity consistently expresses our clients' essential messages. Education: MS Computer Science, Cornell University, with internships at Brookhaven National Labs and AeroAstro Corporation, a space satellite company near Washington, DC.

Charlene Gridley

A national-award-winning art director and designer, Charlene's experience includes work in print and digital media for national corporations such as New York's Western Publishing and Golden Books, trade associations such as the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, the Newspaper Association of America, and the National Association of Music Education. Her design goal is to make each new project distinctive and tailored to a client's goals. Education: Carleton College and NY School of Design. Awards include three Ozzies for magazine design.
